July 5, 2010 - FARMINGDALE, NY: Flying Dog Photos's video division, Flying Dog Films, just premiered its first short film on YouTube over the July 4th Independence Weekend:
Shot with a VholdR Contour true 1080p camera mounted to the wing of a Cessna 150, the viewer is whisked on a 7-minute journey from Farmingdale Republic Airport (KFRG) on Long Island to Igor I. Sikorsky Memorial Airport (KBDR) in Bridgeport, CT and back. Ordinarily, this trip takes 25 to 40 minutes, each way, depending on the headwinds. This was shot on July 2, 2010, with winds gusting up to 20 kts. and heavy heat vectors, hence the refracting of the air in some of the shots.
